Here with Timbontems, ESPN's NBA writer, just a week now ahead of Thursday, next Thursday's

NBA trade deadline. Tim, how are you? I'm doing well, Adrian. I saw you on the computer this

morning. I think it's the first time I saw you since the last time I was on the pod with you at the

All-Star game in Chicago, which feels like about 17 years ago at this point. It's pretty crazy. Yeah, it sure is. Yeah,

it has been, uh, it has been a while and hopefully we'll all start to see each other in real

time here sooner than later. But, uh, Tim, the trade deadline now within a week, we had two deals yesterday. I wanted to

start with those before we start looking ahead. Let's take them in order as we reported them

yesterday. Trevor Areza coming out of exile in Oklahoma City to go to the heat.

Really a perfect Miami Heat player, you know, big wing, two-way player.

Now, Areza hasn't played since prior to the bubble.

He was an opt-out in the bubble with Portland.

He played very well for the Blazers in 20 or so games after he came over in that trade from the Kings.

And the Blazers missed him in that bubble.

That was when they got up against the big wings, you know, obviously LeBron and having to play them in the playoffs.

They certainly on the defensive end missed him.

That was a big part of why they brought him in. It's certainly a

big part of now why he goes to Miami. It's funny, Sam Presti in Oklahoma City, I'm not sure he's

ever done a contract buyout. He doesn't like to do them. And you know, you look back a couple years
