I'm Dale Johnson and you're listening to Truth in Love, a podcast of the Association of Certified

0:18.6

Biblical Counselors, where we seek to provide biblical

0:21.1

solutions for the problems that people face. Today on the podcast, I am delighted to have

0:27.4

with us Dr. Renn Cherry. Renn actually serves here at ACBC on staff. He's our director of finances

0:34.0

and donor relations. He's also an adjunct professor at Midwestern Baptist Theological

0:38.6

Seminary, teaching in biblical counseling. He's married to Terry. He has two grown children,

0:44.9

Jack and Carly. And Ren and his family served as missionaries for five years, and that was

0:50.4

added to some of his ministerial experience, as well as he served as an associate pastor

0:55.9

for five years as well. We love having the cherries here in Kansas City with us. They are

1:02.1

like family to the Johnsons and they're the fun aunt and uncle to the Johnson kids and we

1:09.6

love them dearly. But I can't wait for us to talk

1:12.5

today about a very serious subject, I think, in Christendom right now. And it's a subject that we

1:18.6

need to consider very carefully. Ren just finished his doctoral degree, his PhD, and he wrote

1:26.9

on this very important subject, the Enneagram. And with his

1:30.8

writing and research, he learned a lot about different personality typologies. And I want to

1:36.0

challenge him today. I almost feel like we should request that everyone pay tuition. It's going to be a

1:41.7

wonderful lesson that we learned through, uh, through the,

1:45.0

the podcast today. And I think a very interesting and very relevant subject as we talk about

1:50.2

personality typologies and also, uh, specifically the Enneagram. We're going to do a series of

1:56.0

these, uh, podcast talking about the Enigram. And so I want you to hang with us through this series. It'll be

2:01.9

three or four that we work through here to introduce you to some ideas about the Enneagram.
