What about the unconscious on this edition of Truth and Love?

0:11.5

I'm Dale Johnson, and you're listening to Truth and Love, a podcast of the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors,

0:17.5

where we seek to provide biblical solutions for the problems that people face.

0:22.3

And this week on the podcast, I am excited that we get to invite Craig Rowe, one of our fellows

0:28.4

and longtime certified members with ACBC, to join us to talk about this issue of the unconscious.

0:35.4

0:51.2

Craig is retired from full-time ministry, but he still continues to teach in various

0:55.6

capacities. One is an adjunct professor at Montana Bible College. He pastored for 33 years

1:01.9

and counseled at the Biblical Counseling Center in Arlington Heights, Illinois, for those many

1:07.9

years. And he received a Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry and Counseling

1:12.5

from Westminster Theological Seminary in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He and his wife Sue have

1:17.6

four grown children, and now they reside in Bozeman, Montana. And today, Sam Stevens, our

1:24.9

director of Counseling Center certification, was able to sit down with

1:29.7

Craig Rowe to discuss this topic that still has so much sway in our culture, even in our

1:36.4

evangelical culture, this idea of the unconscious that was so prevalent in Freudian thinking.

1:43.9

Well, Craig, thanks for joining us today for the podcast.

1:47.4

Really interesting topic about the unconscious.

1:51.0

I think probably many of our listeners have run into this term,

1:55.5

maybe through their own reading in psychological literature,

1:58.4

or maybe even different new age concepts. But as we kind of
