for the problems that people face. So this week on the podcast, we have with us Dr. Stewart Scott,

and Stewart is a professor at the Master's University. He is also on staff here with us at

ACBC as our Director of Membership Services services and I'm just going to tell you

the last several years that I've gotten to know Stewart even on a more personal level outside of

his writings I've just been so blessed it's been like that that cool uncle that you get to hang out with

and ask questions about and hear stories about the biblical counseling movement.

As a matter of fact, we were at my house last night, and he's telling us a little bit about

how the Lord brought him into the biblical counseling movement many years ago.

And what a fun time that was to just sit down and listen.

And really, from some of that conversation, Stuart, we

begin thinking about what's going on in the movement today. And it's interesting, you know,

your perspective, sort of a historical perspective, seeing shifts and change and not just in

people who are influential and that sort of thing, but also in the explanations of biblical counseling. Maybe we would even say

something like the definitions of biblical counseling, and using that language to describe what it is

that we try and promote this idea of biblical counseling. And honestly, it's used sort of far and wide.

It's used by so many people.

And I think you and I are burdened to some degree to say, okay, how do we help our people

think in this direction to know and to be able to do what the scriptures call us to do

to be good discerners?
