| 0:29.0 | Certification, and we are here this week to talk about mental disorders, the ones that have been |
| 0:36.0 | classified, particularly we're going to boil this week down to talk about anxiety and depression specifically. |
| 0:42.5 | Certainly we could separate these out, but we wanted to try and tackle these because there's a similar narrative that runs throughout both of these types of disorders as they're defined by the DSM. |

| 0:55.6 | things that are that are undergirding the idea behind mental health as it relates to these |
| 1:01.2 | particular categories of anxiety and depression. And again, we're in the month of May. This is |
| 1:07.8 | Mental Health Awareness Month. And so we want to just raise these issues so that you can be more aware of the language that's used out there. |
| 1:16.9 | Now, Sam, there are several ways that we could address this, and I think it's important for us to consider the time that we're currently in now. |
| 1:24.8 | We've been dealing with the idea of a pandemic now for four or five |
| 1:28.1 | months, and here we are wrestling with the realities that we're seeing unfold before us. |
| 1:35.3 | One of the things that I keep reading is a constant increase in mental health that our public |
| 1:42.2 | health officials were once talking about. We need to flatten the |
| 1:44.9 | curve, make sure that the hospitals are okay. Some of that now has transitioned. That talk has |
| 1:49.9 | transitioned to think about the impact of the pandemic moving now toward a third or fourth stage, |
| 1:56.5 | which incorporates a fear of some sorts of the flood of quote-unquote mental health problems. |
| 2:03.4 | And now we have to worry about the psychiatric industry and the psychological industry |
| 2:08.2 | are going to be flooded with people who are now affected by the pandemic, |
| 2:12.0 | which has nothing to do with some sort of underlying true virus or disease really at all. And so it's interesting some of the |
