| 0:40.2 | address, particularly as counselors, and more specifically as biblical counselors. And so I want |
| 0:45.9 | today for us to discuss this issue, in brief, we certainly can't deal with all of the aspects |
| 0:52.9 | of polyamory and the sexual revolution |
| 0:56.8 | that is occurring all around us. |
| 0:59.7 | But I want us to address maybe some basic ideas. |
| 1:03.5 | In this Christianity Today article, polyamory is defined like this, from the Greek poly, |
| 1:10.1 | meaning many, and the Latin Amor, meaning love. |
| 1:14.1 | It refers to the practice of or desire for intimate relationships with more than one partner, |
| 1:19.5 | with the consent of all partners involved. |
| 1:23.3 | Now, this is an issue for many reasons, but we knew that this kind of thing was coming. |
| 1:28.5 | When we began to look at the sexual frontier and we began to excuse even in the Christian |
| 1:34.0 | world, not just in our culture at large, but in the Christian world, when we begin to allow |
| 1:39.1 | different sexual preferences that are abominations against the Word of God, to enter, there is no place |
| 1:46.3 | at which this ceases. |
| 1:48.0 | This will continue from things like homosexuality or even the acceptance of cohabitation |
