Christmas traditions with the Yules on this edition of Truth and Love.

the Yules, as we talk about Yuletide and all the rest of it. Dr. Stephen Yule and his wife, Allison,

who have been dear people to me and my family over the last several years.

Stephen served as our teaching pastor at Grace Community Church in Glenrose, Texas, and

Allison, his dear wife, with their two children.

Laura and Emma have been a great blessing to our family, and I'm delighted to have them here.

I am interested, Stephen, to hear how connected your last name is to the

idea of Yule in Christmas. Very connected. Okay. Yule, my name, Y-U-I-L-E, is simply a misspelling of Y-U-L-E.

At some point in our family history, going back a couple hundred years, people didn't

know how to read or write.

So someone, one of my four fathers went to register a baptism or a marriage or a death

or something, and some clerk spelt it incorrectly and it's just kind of

morphed over the years but that is the etymology that's the history of it is yule uly something to do

with christmas so i don't know if there was some ancestor born during euletide the christmas season

or the exact circumstances surrounding that but that is the history of the word What I'm realizing right now is how much I underestimated the perfection of you guys

joining us for Christmas traditions. So this works out so well. I'm interested to hear

Summer and I have several different ways that we enjoy to celebrate Christmas as we get into the season,

post- Thanksgiving, the fall rolls around, the coolness of the air.
