| 0:00.0 | Understanding Testosterone on this edition of Truth and Love. |
| 0:11.3 | I'm Dale Johnson, and you're listening to Truth and Love, a podcast of the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors, |
| 0:17.7 | where we seek to provide biblical solutions for the problems that people face. |
| 0:24.4 | This week on the podcast, I'm delighted to have Dr. Dan Deyen with us. Dan has been a medical doctor |
| 0:31.4 | with 31 years of experience, particularly in internal medicine. If you recall, a few weeks back, Dr. Deyen was with us to talk about how we can understand hormones. |
| 0:43.7 | And many of you gave great feedback on that podcast. |
| 0:47.9 | I wanted to have him back to talk about this issue of testosterone and how it affects and impacts us. And so Dr. Dean, welcome to |
| 0:57.9 | the podcast. We're so grateful that you're here to talk with us about this very important subject |

| 1:36.8 | So Dr. Dean, if I could ask a question, what are the things that we need to know about the |
| 1:43.3 | influences of male testosterone as we think through our responsibility as biblical counselors? |
| 1:49.6 | Thank you, Dale. One of the things that you'll see on television a lot are advertisements that ask men if they have low T. |
| 1:57.5 | And so a lot of times men are now thinking about that question and wondering, do I feel this |
| 2:03.3 | way because I have a low testosterone level? And that's not something that men thought about very |
| 2:08.7 | much in the past, but I get the opportunity regularly when I see my men to ask them, how's their |
| 2:14.2 | sexual function going? How are they feeling? And if I bring it up, they will often say, |
| 2:20.1 | can we check my testosterone levels? |
