| 0:59.4 | Now, Bill, our task today is to talk about resolving conflict. And there are so many opportunities, |
| 1:05.9 | unfortunately, in the world in which we live, all the different relationships that we have between husband and |
| 1:12.6 | wife and parents and children and coworkers, and dare I say, maybe even in the church, there are |
| 1:19.6 | so many ways in which we have relationship with people. And when we live in a fallen world, |
| 1:26.0 | conflict is going to happen between people. Talk for just a |
| 1:29.2 | second about those different dynamics that we experience and the conflict that abounds in the |
| 1:35.4 | relationships that we have. Well, I think what we see in the world today is just a reflection of what's in |
| 1:41.6 | the heart. We have a conflict on all levels, even with three-year-olds. |
| 1:47.6 | That's probably where they've learned it, but one thing they didn't learn is the humility that's |
| 1:52.7 | necessary to be able to resolve that conflict. We think somebody has something against us, |
| 1:57.7 | and we speak out against them before we even heard what they said. And so we |
| 2:03.0 | have problems in the church. We have problems between pastors. We have problems between missionaries. |
| 2:08.8 | It's all over the place. And rather than taking the attitude of Christ, and he's the one who is our |
| 2:15.4 | example, and we should have the example of humility. |
