I'm Heath Lambert and you're listening to Truth and Love, a podcast of the Association

of Certified Biblical Counselors, where we seek to provide biblical solutions to the problems that people

face. This week, we will celebrate Valentine's Day. It's that time of the year when we think about

love and romance, and we want to pay attention to that on the podcast this week by thinking about

cultivating healthy marriages. I am really thankful that in the kindness of God, I am married to a woman named

Lauren, and our marriage is not perfect.

No one's is, but our marriage is really, really good.

And so I asked if Lauren would consider coming on the podcast this week and against her

better judgment, she agreed.

And so our special guest this week is Lauren Lambert, my wife.

And Amy Evenson is going to ask us some questions about our marriage.

I'm so excited you both could be here with us today.

So what are the top two things that you love about each other the most?

You go first. Okay, I assume you mean besides Heath's dashing good looks. Of course she meant

besides that. So when I met Heath, I would say the first two things that were my favorite and they've

continued to be

my favorite things are his sense of humor and also his godliness and thoughtfulness in our

relationship and how well he's led me in our relationship and also how he's desired to know me.

I would say the two things about Lauren that were obvious to me from the time back in college

when we were first getting to know one another and they have remained consistent throughout

our entire relationship, dating, engagement, marriage is number one,
