Zoom is getting some traction and Steve Jobs goes to Macworld and he pulls out this iPhone.

I'm just calling to inform iPhone users who might be traveling abroad that I would highly recommend getting what's called

the International Data Global Plan for iPhone through AT&T because if you don't and you do go abroad,

you will be charged two cents a kilobyte. And I did a calculation. And if I based it off

my usage from last month, I had used 54,288 kilobytes for the whole month. And if you

do math, and if I had gone to another country, I was in Europe, to Italy or France or whatever,

I would have been charged about $1,000 in addition to what I was paying for my plan

just for having my iPhone on and using it as it normally would, checking email, browsing the internet, etc.

So I highly recommend people who have iPhones, who plan to go abroad, pay the extra 25 bucks.

You're just going to go for a couple of weeks because it'll save you a lot of money.

And in fact, when I spoke with the representative, she told me that there had already been cases of people coming back from

trips who had left their iPhone on and used data as normal and coming home with several

hundred dollars in pills. So I have a feeling this was going to become an issue eventually

because it doesn't seem like they're properly informing customers to go abroad because you can
