preview the 2024 lSU baseball season and hunt even those words coming out of my mouth. It feels a little strange because it feels like just yesterday we were in Omaha and having a bunch of jello shots and watching the Tigers win a national championship. But here we are. It's baseball season. It's here. Look, that's the, you want them to play deep into June. They got you all the way through June.

Then they quickly go out there for a little fall, and now all of a sudden you get through Christmas, and it's here, and I'm fired up about it. We bumped into each other at the box the other day. I don't know if that's appropriate for the LSU Podcast Network or you can keep it in. We're off the cuff today. But let's look at the 2024 season. The Tigers lose a lot. Anytime you lose, a Dylan Cruz, a Paul Skeens, a Trey Morgan, you know, even your Belosos and your Dugos, guys who were integral pieces of a national championship team, you would expect to take a step back. That is not the case at LSU. I think I saw yesterday, maybe it was D1 baseball or one of the outlets, but other predictions

and over half the voters picked LSU to repeat, which to me is just insane.

But it speaks to the talent that Jay Johnson has brought back, retained, developed, and then

recruited.

When you look at the losses, but you look at the returnees, what are kind of the highlights for you for this roster coming into the season? I mean, the first thing for me is, I would say that Dylan Cruz is the greatest player to ever play at LSU. That's my opinion. I did not see them all. I did not see every bat Eddie Furness took. I didn't see every bat Todd Walker took. And I think Paul Skeens is the best pitcher to have ever played at LSU.

I did not see Ben McDonald play.
