All right, happy to spend a few minutes today with coach Russell Brock and Kristen Nuss of LSU Beach Volleyball.

Thank y'all so much for a few minutes.

I wanted to catch up with y'all.

I think this is the first time we've had coach and player.

So I've tried to do something new every episode and get a new dynamic.

So we've got the coach and player dynamic, which should be

interesting. Hopefully it goes well. Coach, I'll start with you. One of the things that I've been

thinking about lately is how this situation we're all in has disrupted so many of our plans

and things that all of us, no matter what walk of life we're in,

have been working toward. I think for y'all, that's about as evident as it could be for

anybody. This is, this season was really something you had been building toward for a long time.

Grant did a great job writing about it before the season, and we've talked about it before.

I think we talked about it last year before you guys went to nationals.

Just how you've been building step by step.

And six, seven years ago when y'all started this process, kind of having a vision and outlining it.

And y'all had just started to – I don't want to say just started to.

But this year you had really hit that point where you're number one in the country. You beat UCLA twice. Things were trending in that direction and then all of a sudden it comes to a halt. How do you deal with that? How do you even begin to cope with that with building something for so long and then something like

this comes along and it's out of your control?

Yeah, I think that, you know, part of the ability to deal with it is understanding that,

one, there's a bigger picture.

Obviously, there's something pretty remarkable going on, a lot more tragic situations that are very evident for us to see other than

our losing our season, clearly not something that we hope for and still devastating to,
