Tiger Woods ruptured his Achilles tendon.

Casting a little doubt on his golf future, wouldn't you say?

Well, the die has long been cast on Tiger Woods' golfing future, and that is that he has no future.

He is essentially a ceremonial player at this point, and that's just the Shakespearean tragedy. I mean,

in a weird way, that is what Tiger Woods is. He's some sort of Shakespearean tragedy figure in which

what he did from 1997 to 2008, in which he won 14 majors, is probably the greatest accomplishment in the history of sport.

I mean, I think you could safely say Tiger Woods is the most dominant athlete in his sport to ever play.

And I would put him above Gretzky and I would put him above Michael Jordan and I would put him above Babe Ruth and I'd put him above Muhammad Ali. He was so much better than everybody else in his field. And yet, because he had

so little personal self-control that the greatest thing for Tiger was he mentally owned every

player that he stepped on a golf course with.

You knew he was going to win. You just knew Tiger Woods was going to win if he was in contention

and he would will himself to victory. And the guy he was playing knew that as well, which is why

time and again, the greatest players in the world folded in front of Tiger Woods mentally.

And when Tiger got into that little hayroob with the with the fire hydrant and the SUV and allegedly a six iron or whatever it was and his now ex-wife, mentally he lost his edge.

And he became vulnerable for the first time.
