Welcome to the first cut podcast president's cup review for day two, and it was a crazy one yet again.

So let's bring in the team.

First, I'll start by welcoming in Mark Imelman. Mark, I was writing

the American's obituary. I had the script ready to go. And then with 30 minutes to go in this

thing, the last couple of holes, I had to burn it. And the U.S. team pulls out a split two and a half points to

two and a half points, which certainly felt like a win with the way this whole thing shook

down. Isn't it crazy? I mean, it's what we love about sport and it's what we love about golf.

And we actually talked about this in our podcast yesterday and the reference was that, look,

the United States team got to make a run and it's up to the internationals to weather the

proverbial storm.

And, you know, given the record that they've had in forcums in this President's Cup, even though

everything went down over the final hour of play,

which was incredible.

I've got to tell you, I mean, what riveting viewing and how awesome for the President's

Cup and for the fans in Australia.

You know, weathering the storm, still coming out of this foursome session with a two and a half

to two and a half tie.

I think all in all, if you look back at this thing

with an ounce of perspective in a little time the internationals will be like all right we we we

we're still in decent decent shape over here yeah absolutely also we'll welcome in kyle porter

and kyle it's now six and a half three and a half so the internationals still have a lead

in this thing but it feels a lot different because, I mean, there was literally a time during the telecast that, you know, the international team easily could have won all five matches.
