Jesus refers to himself as the morning star. What does that mean? Here's Nancy DeMoss Walgamuth.

The morning star appears in the night sky just before the night turns to dawn. It introduces a new day. And so Christ overcame the darkness of the grave and introduced a new day of eternal life.

For September 12, 2023, I'm Dana Gresh. If you've been listening to revive our hearts lately, you'll know that Jesus dictated

seven letters to John at the beginning of Revelation.

Nancy has been taking us through these letters, and they have provided great insight for us as women.

Today we'll wrap up our study of one of these letters in the series, The Sin of Tolerance.

When we come today to the last portion of the letter to the church in Thyatira in Revelation chapter 2, we've spent over a week on this passage.

It's the longest of the letters.

It's also in some ways the most complex and difficult to understand, although each of the

letters has its own interpretive issues.

But there have been some sober words, some serious words, and yet today I think we're going

to find some real words of encouragement for our hearts.

Let me back up and read the entire letter, so we'll have this in context,

and this will be by way of review of where we've been these last several days.

Revelation 2, beginning in verse 18.

And to the angel of the church in Thyatira write,

The words of the Son of God, who has eyes like a flame of fire, and whose feet are like

burnished bronze. He says, verse 19, I know your works, your love and faith and service and patient

endurance, and that your latter works exceed the first. But verse 20, I have this against you, that you

tolerate that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess, and is teaching and seducing my servants to practice sexual immorality and to eat food sacrifice to idols. He says in verse 21, I gave her time to repent, but she refuses to repent of her sexual immorality.
