Happy Thursday, folks. The bells are ringing in Vatican City, just outside of Rome, Italy, 6 o'clock local time, 6 p.m.

White smoke poured out of the Sistine Chapel chimney, which means we have a new Pope.

Cardinal Robert Prevotes, an American missionary who spent his career ministering in Peru,

Leads of Vatican's powerful office of bishops, was elected the first American pope

in the nearly 2,000 year history of the

Catholic Church. Prevost, who's now officially the new pope, will take on the name Leo the 14th

as his new name. President Trump, in an earlier than usual press conference in the Oval

Office this morning, unveiled the first of his post-tariff Liberation

Day trade deals, this one with the United Kingdom, revealing increased market access

with, quote, one of our closest and most cherished allies.

The United States and the United Kingdom are to sign the, quote, tremendous trade deal

and enter into economic security alignment, President Trump's saying in the Oval Office

during a conference of Prime Minister, Sir Kier-Stramer.

What's included in that new trade deal is a $5 billion opportunity for new exports for

U.S. farmers, ranchers, and producers, the opening for $700 million in ethanol exports

and $250 million in other agricultural products like beef,

streamlined customs for exports, securing of the supply chain of U.S. aerospace manufacturers

through preferential access to high-quality U.K. aerospace components, and lastly, a trading

union for steel and aluminum. President Trump also still leaving on that 10% tariff.
