And we always start with the top story. Yesterday, the Federal Reserve announced that they're lowering interest rates by half a point.

That's the first cut since 2020. They had been raising the rates in an attempt to fight inflation and

now that campaign seems to be over.

Not only did they go big with a whole half percentage point cut,

but they say they plan two more cuts before the end of the year

and four cuts in 2025.

Since July, rates were at a 23 year high and now they are dropping.

After that came out yesterday President Biden celebrated the news on social media and said he will

speak today quote about what this means for America.

All right okay on the sports the W NBA is growing the league announced yesterday that the next city to get a team is

Portland Oregon it's the third recently announced expansion franchise the others are the golden state

Valcarries they're to start playing next season

while teams in Toronto and now Portland will officially start in 2026. Another big one that broke yesterday, iconic sports journalist Adrian Woj Nurosky, or Woj, is retiring
