We're going to start with a key vaccine advisory panel meeting today set to vote on new guidelines that could impact millions of

Americans. This comes after the former director of the CDC testified that she was fired after

refusing to obey an order from health secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to ignore the science

on vaccines. Jay O'Brien is on Capitol Hill with the latest force. Good morning, Jay.

Yeah, good morning, Robin. That critical vaccine advisory panel set to meet in just hours from now,

and it comes after a stark warning from the former CDC director recently fired by Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

This morning after an overhaul by HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., the nation's top vaccine advisory panel now set to begin weighing critical recommendations on vaccines covering everything from measles to hepatitis B to COVID.

Kennedy recently firing all of the committee's members, stacking it with people he handpicked,

several who have voiced vaccine skepticism.

If vaccine protections are weakened, preventable diseases will return.

On Capitol Hill, ousted CDC director Susan Menores, warning she's very nervous about what that critical

advisory panel will now endorse and saying she was fired just weeks after being sworn in for

refusing Kennedy's demands to pre-approve its recommended changes to the CDC vaccine schedule for
