Hey, friends, Genesis Chapter 30 today. We're jumping right back in the middle of our story about

Leah and Rachel and their little competition.

Leah's done having children.

Rachel is just crestfallen because she desperately wants children for natural reasons,

but also it's a blessing.

And she desires to give children to Jacob, to have children of her own. And all of this

maneuvering and manipulating and all of it has produced nothing. And yet there's something else that's

going on that you have to kind of look carefully to see. and that is Rachel's attitude toward the Lord.

I don't know when in the process, maybe from the very beginning, that Rachel just begins to go

to God about her deepest, darkest struggle in her life, not having children.

And the Bible says in verse number 22 that God remembered Rachel. That's a wonderful

term. It refers to the covenant keeping God. God remembered Rachel, but here's the part I want you to see,

and God hearkened to her. Now there's the implication that Rachel's been praying. Rachel's been asking, God,

God, would you give me children? Would you open my womb? That's always a good thing to go to the God

that hears and go to the God that can do something about it. So Rachel understands that the fruit
