David prayed a prayer similar to that.

Lord, guard my words.

studio. Don't even have my Bible open yet, so give me a second here. Psalm 19 today and a very quotable verse

that we're going to leave you with today, one that maybe some of you already have memorized,

but a good one to memorize if you don't have it memorized. We're in Psalm 19, and we're talking about the Word of God. Some of the best

illustrations about the Word of God are the ones we just talked about last episode. And David had

this great love for the Bible. Interestingly, God used David to pen some of the Bible. He was one of the holy men of old that God used to pen portions of Scripture.

But David himself loved the Bible. He loved the Word of God.

And really, in the best parts of his life, David surrounded himself with people that love the Bible as well. You think about prophets like Nathan

or like Gad. Long before Nathan warned David or exposed David, they had sweet fellowship. And it was

through Nathan, a lover of the Word of God, a prophet of the Word of God, that David actually received the

famous Davidic covenant in 2 Samuel chapter 7. All that to say, David has this heart for God

and a heart for the Word of God. They always go together. And we ended in verse number 11, last episode, or verse number 10, where we talked about more to be
