Welcome back, friends. Appreciate you joining us for today's episode of Everyday Truth.

We are in a brand new Psalm today, Psalm 20. And I think we'll be able to get through the whole thing,

nine verses long. So let's just dive in. Psalm 20, to the chief musician,

a Psalm of David. And this is an unusual Psalm because typically when you think about a Psalm of

David, you think about first person, I this, I that, it's written first person because David wrote it. But this Psalm is written in,

well, let's just jump in. I'll show you. The Lord hear thee in the day of trouble. So who is speaking?

Somebody is speaking about somebody else. The Lord hear thee.

And then in verse number five, it says, we will rejoice in thy salvation.

So apparently this is a congregation that is speaking, and they're speaking about an individual.

And when you look at all the internal evidence

of the Psalm, what you realize is this is the congregation of Israel praying for King David

ahead of the battle. So a group of followers praying for their leader who's about to lead in a really dangerous
