Hello everybody. I'm John Fawson with this Great America Show Midday Update for Thursday May 28th.

Happy Thursday, folks. The U.S. and Iran have reportedly reached an agreement on a 60-day

ceasefire extension, of course pending President Trump's approval. As the world watches on

worrying as new clashes between the U.S. and Iran threatened to shatter a failed truce in place,

hopeful report out today suggests that progress is being made in the negotiations.

Axios first reporting that the U.S. and Iran negotiators have reached an agreement on a 60-day

memorandum of understanding that would extend the current ceasefire and launch negotiations

on Iran's nuclear program.

The deal reportedly needs President Trump's final approval, according to these sources.

The signing of the MOU would be the most significant diplomatic breakthrough since the war started,

but a final agreement that tackles President Trump's nuclear demands would still require further intensive negotiations.

That is yet to be seen. The terms of the dealer mostly agreed upon, but still need approval

from senior leadership on both sides. And as I said, of course, the final determination lands on

President Trump and just how much he wants to tolerate after what we saw last night with Iran launching

missiles at Kuwait.

So Iran hasn't kept up on their side of the ceasefire.

So it's going to be a dicey situation just on how much President Trump wants to put up with

Treasury Secretary Scott Besson.

He was the White House press secretary this afternoon telling reporters that the Treasury Department

is in fact making preparations to begin printing $250 bills with President Trump's face on them,

of course pending approval from Congress. Now this comes after the Washington Post claimed

the Trump administration is pressuring officials at the Treasury Bureau of engraving and printing a design of a $250 bill
