section today that I want to cover. So we're going

to jump right in Matthew 26. We're in verse 51. Jesus has been arrested falsely, obviously, in the

Garden of Gassimony. All the disciples have forsaken him and they have fled.

And the Bible teaches here in Matthew 26.

Did I give you the wrong verse?

Yeah, verse 57.

So the Bible says, and they that had laid hold on Jesus led him away to Caiaphas, the high priest,

where the scribes and the elders were assembled. So get the idea. This is the middle of the night,

or certainly late, late, late in the night. And these religious leaders have all been summoned

to form this kangaroo court where they are going to

indict Jesus and bring him to the Roman authorities in the morning.

And the place at which their meeting is the place of the House of Caiaphas.

This would not be a normal meeting place.

The normal meeting place would be

at the Sanhedron Council Room in the temple itself. But here they are now going to the House of
