The four headlines you need to know.

Just as abortion trigger laws were about to go into effect in North Dakota and Wyoming, they were temporarily blocked.

Wyoming's law bans abortion in all circumstances except rape, incest, or if the mother is in serious risk of death or injury.

It briefly went into effect yesterday, but a Teton County judge issued a temporary restraining order blocking it.

The order is in response to a lawsuit that argues the trigger law violates rights guaranteed by the state of Wyoming's constitution.

North Dakota's trigger law is similar to Wyoming's and was set to go into effect today, but a state district court judge granted a temporary restraining order on the law yesterday.

That order is in response to a lawsuit brought forward by the state's only abortion provider,

which claims the abortion ban violates the state's constitution.

Other states, including Kentucky, Louisiana and Utah, have also had trigger laws temporarily blocked due to lawsuits.

In a shocking announcement yesterday, Democrats announced an agreement that could lead to the passing of what Democrats are calling the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022.

Now, once you get past the slightly desperate name of the bill, it could implement some

major changes if it's passed.

The bill would impact a number of things, including health care, pharmaceutical costs, energy,

and taxes.
