It's first thing with me, Kevin Manor. Thanks for being here. A few birthdays today before we jump into the headlines.

The OctoMoms Octoplets are 14 years old today. Remember her? You remember them? They're 14.

Former bachelor, Colden Underwood is 31 Wayne Gretzky is double that. He's 62 and Ellen DeGeneres turned 65 today. Happy birthday.

And today is the three year anniversary of Kobe Bryant's fatal helicopter crash. He and his daughter, Gianna, both lost their lives that day as well as seven others.

It was on this date in 2020. Those times when you get up early and you work hard, those times when you stay up late and you work hard, those times when you don't feel like working, you're too tired,

you don't want to push yourself, but you do it anyway. That is actually the dream. That's the dream. It's not the destination. It's the journey.

Okay, all right, let's go. We jump in with the top story I mentioned yesterday. This might happen and it ended up happening. Germany and the US agreed to send advanced battle tanks to Ukraine.

As this war enters its 12th month, we'll be giving them 31 M1 Abrams tanks. They're huge. President Volodymyr Zelensky released a video message last night thanking the allies for what he called quote a tank coalition.

Now it seems the next thing they're going to ask for fighter jets serious. While all of this was unfolding yesterday, Russia was attacking. They launched a new wave of missile and drone attacks across Ukraine.

It's reported that they went after energy infrastructure in the city of Odessa and that there was at least one death in Kiev.

On to some sports headlines. Now it looks like the chiefs will have their quarterback this weekend. Patrick Mahomes, he sprained his ankle in their game against the Jaguars on Saturday.

And it's reported that he was a full participant at the team's practice yesterday, which means he will most likely be well enough to start on Sunday.

The chiefs play the bangles on Sunday and the 49ers will face the Eagles. The winners move on to the Super Bowl.

And in other Patrick Mahomes news, he is on the short list of players up for this year's MVP award.

The finalists were just announced in eight categories and the guys up for the most valuable player are Mahomes.

Josh Allen, Joe Burrow, Jalen Hertz and the only non-quarter back on the list. Justin Jefferson, the awards will be given out February 9th.

Over in the NBA, Steph Curry was ejected from the Warriors game against the Grizzlies last night with only like a minute left to go and a two-point lead.

He got frustrated and he threw his mouthpiece. He went into the stands, a ref blew the whistle and he was out of there.

This is only the third time in his career that he's been ejected and the other two times were for the exact same reason.

Throwing his mouthpiece even without him, the Warriors went on to win the game 122 to 120.
