Hello, everybody. I'm John Fawson with this Great America Show. Midday update for Thursday,

January 22nd. Happy Thursday, folks. I hope you all had a great day, and you guys are staying warm,

and if you're on the East Coast or Midwest, or that matter, are preparing for this snowstorm

that's set through, pass through, looking like it's going to be a rough one, but we're praying for the best.

Over on Capitol Hill today, former special counsel and junkyard Jackal Jack Smith sat for

testimony before the House Judiciary Committee. Now, Jack Smith's got some questions to answer,

and he was there to talk about the alleged efforts to interfere with President Trump's 2024 election.

In 2023, Jack Smith, of course, indicted President Trump.

37 federal counsel in Miami for lawfully storing presidential records at his Mar-a-Lago estate,

which was protected by secret service agents.

And then in a separate Washington, D.C. case, Jack Smith, indicted President Trump

four counts, conspiracy to defraud the United States, conspiracy to obstruct an official proceeding,

obstruction of an attempt to obstruct an official proceeding, and conspiracy against rights.

Smith showed up, and boy, was he lambasted, and boy, he didn't know what to do.

He looked like a lost puppy.

One of the members who absolutely lambasted him was Congressman Troy Nels.

He was going to be departing Congress shortly.

But had some words for him in his statement.
