Mahershal Ali, Iced tea and Lavar Burton. They are all a year older today. And all of our

Burton has done a bunch of stuff in his career, but I will always know him as the host of Reading Rainbow,

a job he held for 23 years. Okay, let's get going. We always start with the top story. Another day

leading off with a mass shooting. This one happened back in May of last year, though, the 19-year-old

white supremacist that opened fire in that Buffalo, New York super market was sentenced yesterday,

life in prison without parole. Before he received the sentence, family members of the victims

were given the opportunity to address him. And that's when a man charged at him, a man in the courtroom

charged at him. He wasn't able to get to him, but you can feel the anger, the rage in this clip.

I have it posted at first thing, pot, if you have not seen it. I think it's important to note that

he expressed remorse yesterday. I'm not pointing that out because I think this guy deserves any

sympathy he doesn't, but it's important to note the dangers of misinformation. He said, quote,

I believed what I read online and acted out of hate. I know I can't take it back, but I wish I could.

Now, assuming that's true, who knows if it is. It really highlights how dangerous all that

hateful misinformation out there can be. It's such a huge problem. He also faces separate

federal charges that could carry a death sentence. That's ultimately up to the Justice Department.

All right, getting into some sports headlines now a few days after another incredible

Super Bowl performance from Patrick Mahums. I just got a little insight as to what makes him so

good. His backup quarterback, Chad Henney, the guy who just retired after the game. He said in an
