thank you. In news, Seattle Public Schools families now know the four elementary schools that

may close next year. Sammy West has the story.

Superintendent Brent Jones is recommending these elementary schools for closure,

North Beach, Sakajuwea, Sanisloe, and Stevens. Under the plan, which is not final,

students at each of those schools would stay together and consolidate into other nearby

schools. North Beach students would go to

Vuelan's Elementary, Saka Joaqua students to John Rogers Elementary, Sanis Low to Highland Park

Elementary, and Stevens to Montlake Elementary. This comes as the district faces a shortfall of

nearly $100 million. Jones says the district used factors like building condition and space to decide which schools to shudder.
