a jury has found former President Donald Trump guilty. Here are today's top stories. It's Thursday,

May 30th. Washington State's political parties are voicing partisan reaction about Donald Trump being

found guilty today in a scheme to illegally influence the 2016 election.

The state Republican Party says the charges are dubious and predicts that the verdict will be overturned on appeal.

The state Democratic Party says the jury's decision shows that Trump is not fit to lead the country.

Outside of the political parties, we caught up

with people at Seattle's Green Lake today, many who said they were surprised and happy with the

news. Definitely suspected he was on, you know, the guilty side, but having it, you know, official

is definitely surprising, but, you know, it's just crazy.

I think the jurors took their duty seriously.

In a sense, I think it's, it kind of gives me faith in the justice system.

But then, on the other hand, I wonder how much of a difference it's going to make.

And there'll be an appeal and who knows how long that'll go on. And it's not over, but the conviction is happening. That was Barbara
