Hey, my friends, welcome back to today's episode in our study of the book of Psalms.

We're in Psalm 37 today, and I want to jump right in because we've got a longer section,

and I'd love to just finish out this Psalm today. So let's buckle up and get in the

left-hand lane and let's go as fast as we can. But let's pay attention and learn something.

So Psalm 37 and verse number 25, David is testifying. And he says this, I have been young and now am old.

I think I could give that testimony too.

How many out there will give me a witness?

I have been young and now I'm old.

Yet, have I not seen the righteous forsaken nor his seed begging bread. David is just

commenting on his experience of God's faithfulness. That's not to say that if somebody's begging

or that somebody is in a really tough situation that means he's not righteous.

David is speaking generally.

This is wisdom literature.

Proverbs represent general principles that are true.

It's not to say there are never exceptional cases, but David is simply saying that

God rewards faithfulness and he rewards the righteous.

And David said, boy, to look back over my life, I've just seen that God has been faithful
