Summary

Nights like Wednesday don't come along very often. We witnessed an atmosphere and occasion for the ages, but sadly not a result. Fulham missed the chance to secure a historic EFL Cup final at Wembley after drawing 1-1 on the night, but losing by the odd goal in five on aggregate.

We look back at how the team struggled in the early stages but rallied in the second half to make it a real contest at the death. We analyse Silva's tactics and substitutions, and ponder all the 'what ifs' from the night.

Also, we preview Saturday's game against Newcastle United in the FA Cup, with thousands staying away from Craven Cottage. Despite that, can Fulham kick-start another cup run?"

It's nice being person. We're down the road from the cottage. There's plenty to be happy about, but not so much on last night's performance. It was a tough one, I think, to take. And I think there was a lot of hope, a lot of expectation and ultimately just proved a step too far, I think, that Liverpool side.
