Hello listeners and welcome to the Fulamish podcast. It's the return of the Friday Club. These are going well. These Friday clubs all wins, but what a festive

Friday it is as we look back on a historic day in SW-6. Boxing Day brilliance, the St. Stephen's

sensation, as Fulham broke the away and a themeer against our noisy, nasty neighbours in blue.

There were a few longer curses in football than Fulham's Hulu at Stamford Bridge,

a stadium, you might recall, it was actually built for us, which we proceeded to turn

down against Chelsea Football Club, a club that was only formed after the Mighty Whites

refused to depart Craven Cottage.

Much like the Titan Kronos, our heathen offspring would become our greatest nemesis.

We could only watch on as the Blues inflicted torment after torment on us at the old dog track

and raised their own profile to stratospheric levels, their very own Olympus.

The last time the Fulham beat Chelsea at the bridge was 45 years ago in 1979,

was the last time it occurred in a top flight game, was all the

way back in 1964. But on Boxing Day 2024, those years of hurt were washed away, goals from

our Welsh wizard and our Samba superstar leaving the bragging rights in the white, the right

half of the postcode for the first time in almost half a century.
