| 0:16.5 | It's never far from the headlines. |
| 0:18.8 | In this case, the headlines have to do with a directive |
| 0:21.6 | from the Trump administration that states remove any transgender ideology from sex education |
| 0:28.8 | materials. Now, these are for programs funded by the federal government or in cooperation, |
| 0:35.0 | a mix of federal and state funding. It's very interesting to see what's going on here. |

| 0:45.2 | beginning of the second term. President Trump, in his inaugural address, made very clear |
| 0:49.5 | that his administration would recognize two and only two genders, male and female, and he specified |
| 0:55.1 | what that meant. And the issue, the challenge of transgender ideology is something the president |
| 1:00.9 | referenced on the campaign trail as well. This is a major fault line in the culture. |

| 1:11.2 | Now, when you look at this specific policy, it is a directive in executive order. |
