can do about that now that we have some information. I am going to make cleaning fun for you. Oh yeah.

The Core 4. The four headlines you need to know. This stinks. Apparently almost 3 billion

social security numbers along with a ton of other

information linked to those numbers, has been hacked. A group of hackers was able to steal all of that

data from a company called National Public Data. That company helps HR departments and other

organizations run background checks on potential employees.

Now, according to court documents, sometime before April of this year, National Public Data was hacked,

and the hackers posted all of that information to the dark web for about $3.5 million.

But more important than what happened is what you can do about it now.

The first thing that you're going to want to do is freeze your credit,

which means reaching out to the three main credit score companies and freezing your information,

which will hopefully prevent anyone from taking out a credit card or getting a loan with your info.
