First breaking news on the war with Iran. Iran is now claiming that the critical straight of Hormuz is open, including to American ships.

We're in the latest from the region, how markets are reacting to the update and the outlook for gas prices. Chief White House correspondent,

Mary Bruce starts us off. Good morning, Mary. Yeah, George, lots of uncertainty here. Iran reopening

the Strait of Hormuz certainly is welcome news for this administration. That was President

Trump's top demand for this ceasefire. But this truce is being tested by Israel's continued attacks against Lebanon.

And now Tehran says unless those strikes stop, negotiations to end this war could be meaningless.

After refusing to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, Iran this morning announcing that the critical waterway is now open,

as the ceasefire between the U.S. and Iran remains fragile.

The Strait of Hormuz is open, but of course every each tankers and every

each vessel should make necessary arrangements with the Iranian authorities to be able to securely pass this

straight. Reopening the strait was President Trump's top demand for this truce, but Iran
