Last year on the Morning Show podcast, we reported on the IRS's free direct file

service that was being rolled out. Then later in the year, we reported on how successful it was.

And now we're here to tell you it's being eliminated. The Trump administration is making plans

to cut the service, which makes filing taxes easy and free.

The plan has been in limbo since February when Elon Musk tweeted that he quote unquote

deleted 18F, which is a government agency that worked on technology projects like direct file.
