The Titanic collided with an iceberg. Both of those things happened on April 14th and both of those things eventually became Oscar-winning movies.

All right, let's go. I do have another story about a different guy named John who shot a different president coming up in a little bit.

First we start with the top stories and update on the Brooklyn subway shooting yesterday 62 year old Frank James was elevated from a person of interest to a suspect and then he sort of turned himself in according to authorities.

He called in a tip to crime stoppers that ultimately led to his arrest. He said he was at a McDonald's in the East Village in New York and they found him just down the block. He now faces terrorism charges and life in prison.

The fact that nobody died in the shooting and they were able to get him in custody a little more than 24 hours later is just it's incredible.

In an update on Ukraine as expected following a phone call between President Biden and President Zelensky the White House announced yesterday that they are giving another $800 million worth of weaponry to Ukraine.

Also there are reports that the White House is preparing to send a senior member of the administration to Ukraine.

No word on when that might be or who that would be.

On to sports baseball fans. How do you feel about this one? The internet would not stop talking about it last night.

Clayton Kershaw, one of the best pitchers to ever play the game was throwing a perfect game yesterday. Perfect through seven innings when the Dodgers manager Dave Roberts decided to pull him.

He put Kershaw's health first. That's what they say. It's a controversial decision. As great as he is Clayton has never thrown a perfect game.

He was so close. There have only been 23 perfect games in Major League Baseball history. Baseball fans are going to debate this one for weeks.

He admitted to kissing a waitress on the lips without her consent as well as two other unrelated non-consensual incidents.

When all this broke back in 2020 Manhattan prosecutor said at least 30 women had come forward with accusations against him.

He now has to continue alcohol and behavior treatment for six months and have no new arrests. If it can manage that he will avoid jail time.

84 year old Franklin Jello was just fired from Netflix's upcoming fall of the house of Usher after he was accused of making inappropriate comments to a female co-star on set.

They completed an investigation into his alleged misconduct and decided to recast his role.
