The glow is off Netflix as it's seemingly inexorable fast subscriber growth slowed in the latest quarter.

The company announced its second quarter earnings on Wednesday

and while revenue hit expectations at nearly five billion dollars and a 26% year

over year increase, the company lost 126,000 subscribers in the United States, half a million below forecasts, and the first drop in subscriptions in America in eight years.
