There's something about growing up in the Pacific Northwest, and I think this is something that maybe gives Seattle and Portland common ground, which there isn't that much of because the cities tend to be rivals with each other.

You grew up with the Sonicsics and then they left for Oklahoma.

You spent a long time urban planning for the city of Portland.

Caught this close-out game five against the Thunder in Portland.

Revisiting this one to help you process some emotions with OKC getting a ship.

I actually moved to Portland in 1999.

So it was like, what, eight or nine years before the Sonics eventually left Seattle.

And I think over that time, I like those eight or nine years,

I kind of morphed into being a Blazers fan anyway just

because the team uh well it was where I lived and the team was generally better I think 99 or 2000

when uh you know the Blazers had a stacked team with like Rashid Wallace and Scotty Pippin, Bonsie Wells.

I think they lost like a like a 15 point lead or an 18 point lead against the Lakers in game seven of the Western Conference final that year.

I think that was the one that that really made me, made me take to the Blazers a little more than what I did before.
