Do you want to know what it is?

The Matrix is everywhere. It is all around us. Even now in this very room. You can see it when

you look out your window or when you turn on your television. You can feel it when you go to work. When you go to church, when you pay your taxes.

It is the world that has been pulled over your eyes to blind you from the truth.

What truth?

Like everyone else, you were born into bondage, born into a prison that you cannot smell or taste or touch, a prison for your mind.

Unfortunately, no one can be told what the Matrix is. Unfortunately, no one can be told what the matrix is. You have to see it for yourself. This is your last chance.

After this there is no turning back.

24 hundred years ago, one of history's most famous thinkers said life is like being chained up in a cave,

forced to watch shadows flitting across a stone wall.

Pretty cheery, right?

That's actually what Plato suggested in his allegory of the cave,

found in Book 7 of the

Republic, in which the Greek philosopher envisioned the ideal society

by examining concepts like justice, truth, and beauty.

In the allegory, a group of prisoners have been confined in a

cavern since birth with no knowledge of the outside world. They are chained

facing a wall unable to turn their, while a fire behind them gives off a faint light.
