I guess Jack had a whole plan that we just weren't aware of. The other company that Jack Dorsey still runs, Square, is changing its name to Block, effective December 10th, and also their renaming Square

crypto to spiral, as its business, they say, shifts towards technologies like the

blockchain, quoting CMBC. they say shifts towards technologies like the blockchain.

Quoting CMBC.

Jack Dorsey's Payments Giant said in an announcement that the new name effective December 10th,

quote, acknowledges the company's growth and creates room for further growth."

End quote, Block will still trade under the ticker SQ on the New York Stock Exchange.

We built the square brand for our seller business, which is where it belongs. Dor Dorsey co-founder and CEO said in a statement

Block is a new name but our purpose of economic empowerment remains the same

no matter how we grow or change we will continue to build tools to help increase access to the economy."

The name Block, quote, has many associated meanings for the company,

building blocks, neighborhood blocks, and their local businesses,

communities coming together at block parties full of music,

a block chain, a section of code, and obstacles to overcome,

blocks said in a statement, end quote.
