Elon Musk has announced the founding of X-A-I, a startup he will lead to, quote,

understand the true nature of the universe." End quote.

The staff he has assembled worked previously at Google,

Microsoft, Tesla, Open AI, and more,

and as that quote suggests, has some ambitions.

Elon Musk, who has hinted for months that he wants to build an alternative to the popular

chat gpity artificial intelligence chatbot, announced the formation of what he's calling

X-A-I, a company with a mission to

quote, understand the true nature of the universe.

On a website unveiled Wednesday, X-A-I said its team will be led by Musk and staffed by

executives who have worked at a broad range of companies at the forefront

of artificial intelligence, including Google's Deep Mind, Microsoft and Tesla, as well as academic

institutions such as the University of Toronto.
