It's beautiful weather in Chapel Hill, a rival game, and storylines are everywhere both on and off the field.

We'll make this 94th backyard brawl between these two old rivals as Carolina's home game today,

but it may not seem like that at times as we work our way into the evening.

If indeed state fans are able to infiltrate Keenan Stadium today,

in the same way they got into the Smith Center three years ago. Tar Hill fans are able to infiltrate Keenan Stadium today in the same way they got into the Smith Center three years ago.

Tar Hill fans are unhappy, and they show their unhappiness not by not writing checks or giving money.

They continue to do that. They show their unhappiness by not coming, which in a lot of ways is a major part of the football program at Carolina.

Yet state fans continue to be excited over a program which has won 37 games over the last

four and a half years and gone to four bowl games, but yet has never finished higher than

fourth in the conference standing.

Carolina beats NC State today.

A lot of enthusiasm will come back to the program to do that.
