Hey, everybody. Chris Fafalius here. It's time for yet another throwback Thursday episode.

This week, we're throwing it back to March of 2023 when Mick Conroy of Modern English sat in to discuss the writing and recording of a song that's pretty much

become synonymous with the 80s. I melt with you. For how enduring I melt with you has truly

been, you'd be surprised to know that it only went to number 78 in

1983 and then two spots higher seven years later when it was re-released in 1990. It was the second

single from the second Modern English album After the Snow. The song was released in August of

1982 and it broke into the Hot 100 in April of

1983. So let's take a quick look back at the time in history when I Melt with You started making

its way into a lot of people's ears. So on April 7th of 83, the oldest human skeleton believed to be

aged 80,000 years, was discovered in Egypt.

The discovery was made by archaeologist Fred Wendorf, and he found it encased in sandstone.
