Summary

)This is the final episode in the Unhurried Christmas Grace series!  We can feel so rushed in the midst of the Christmas season. But this time of year is really so much taking time. It's an invitation to wait in anticipation of a promise of a Messiah that was given so many years ago. Waiting isn't something that most of us do well, but why don't you join me for (literally) just a few minutes to ponder a few tender Christmas thoughts.  Get your Free digital Holiday Edition of Homeschooling Today here! Hey, moms, welcome to the last and final episode in my throwback series, Unhurried Christmas Grace.

0:18.0

Today we're going to be talking about an unhurried Christmas. Now, I don't know what

0:22.3

your season has been like, but you know what? There's still a few days left to slow down, breathe,

0:28.6

and maybe just dial things back a little bit and really relish in the Christmas season,

0:34.5

especially these last few days. One of the things that our family loves to do

0:37.8

is to turn off all the lights after dinner and sit in the living room and watch, just stare at the

0:46.8

Christmas lights. Of course, we listen to Kenny G. because we've been listening to Kenny G.

0:50.9

forever. But it's one of those times where I have found that I've enjoyed

0:55.6

the season the most when I've taken the time to sort of reflect on a regular basis, just what the

1:02.3

season is all about and not having so much noise and so many activities. And those can all be good

1:08.7

and they can be fun. But there really is a need, I believe, for our hearts to slow down and just sort of

1:16.0

marinate in the Christmas season.

1:18.5

So I hope you get a few minutes to do that.

1:21.3

But I'm glad you're here today.

1:23.3

Before I dive into the introduction, I just wanted to let you guys know that I would love for you

1:33.3

to check out homeschooling Today magazine.

1:35.3

I've mentioned before it is my favorite homeschooling magazine for many reasons.

1:39.8

One of them is that it just, the spirit of the magazine just aligns with that sort of

1:46.0

unhurried approach that I'm always encouraging moms to take with their families.

1:50.9

And I love Ashley.

1:53.3

She is the editor of homeschooling today.

1:56.3

She was homeschooled and she is also a homeschooling mom.
