Summary

The vision in Zechariah 4 features a unique lampstand, two olive trees, and a message to Zerubbabel concerning his commission to rebuild the Temple. And while on the surface, this may seem strange and even irrelevant to us today, it actually contains essential information about the work of the Holy Spirit in our lives, the commission Jesus gives to us, and even alludes to End Times events.

We've been seeing these visions eight eight in number, some say 10.

0:21.6

I told you last week a little bit why, I believe more like eight, which is what most people say.

was the four horns, the horns of power.

1:00.7

If you remember the carpenters or those that would actually demo guys, the demolition derby,

1:05.9

would go with those four horns, if you recall, and destroy those.

1:12.2

And then the measuring line was vision three and God's courtroom was vision four. And that's what brought us all the way up to chapter four now, where we get into the fifth vision. And we're going to call

1:17.4

this vision the olive trees and the candlestick. And again, you know, these are strange visions.

1:23.6

And they would have been strange even to Zachariah and it would have been strange to the people of Israel.

1:29.5

But the cool part of these visions is they come with sort of that pattern that we talked about.

1:36.2

That's kind of important.

1:37.2

Remember, we talked about how these visions were generally kind of divided into different sections of each vision.

1:43.3

And we talked about there was preparation for the

1:45.4

vision, kind of the setup. And then we saw the presentation of the vision. And then there was always

1:50.2

confusion or a question raised in the middle of the vision. What's this all about? What does this
