Why don't you grab your Bible, turn to Micah, chapter one as we continue our through the Bible study.

I like each one of these prophets that we've been studying just as people.

It's interesting to see their different personalities and their, you know, the response they got from various people.

You know, Jonah got an amazing response to a half-hearted sermon, where Jeremiah got zero

response to a passionate, loving sermon that was 42 years of preaching and no one listened.

You know, we had Amos, the goat herder from, you know, Timbuktu,

who went to the fancy place and ministered.

And, you know, it's interesting that each prophet's kind of got its own personality.

But Micah's unique in a couple of areas.

One of the unique things about Micah the prophet is he was heard

by the people. The people actually would listen to what he had to say, which was unlike many

of the prophets. There's only a few other prophets where they even gave somewhat of a listen to,

but we're going to find out that Micah actually was heard. And it is an interesting

question. Why would Micah be heard where, say, like Jeremiah wasn't? Those are some interesting

things to think about. But Micah was a contemporary of Isaiah the prophet. And so it kind of helps us

with the time frame. We'll talk a little bit more about that.

But one of the things about the prophet Micah,

he came 120 years before the prophet Jeremiah.

So Jeremiah was around when the southern kingdom fell,

ultimately in 586 BC.

Micah would be around when the northern kingdom would fall to the Assyrians.
