How many people really like surprises? You guys like surprises? Like, what are you going to do?

Nothing. Surprise.

But, you know, some surprises.

Yeah, you know, I remember a surprise.

Probably one of the more surprising moments of my life.

I was just newly turned 20 years old.

I was a youth director, and I just had a big school bus,

89 passenger school bus that I just dropped off just a bunch of kids from a summer camp.

It was a hot summer, August day, over 100 degrees down there in Southern Oregon.

I think it was about 109 that day.

And I remember just thinking, oh, I'm just exhausted.

You know, it was a fun trip.

But I just dropped the last kids off and I was alone

in the bus just driving along and I was driving through the thriving metropolis of Jacksonville,

Oregon. When, as I was just leaving town, there was that one final stop and I stopped at the

stop sign and then I heard my emergency door buzzer go off. Now that was normal when the kids were in there

because you remember the kids in the back always kind of playing with the lever. It's like,

eh, eh, okay guys, come on now. You know that whole thing, the bus driver thing. Well, this time

there were no children on the bus. I thought, that's odd. So I looked in my mirror only to find at that

jumping in the back of my school bus.
