When it was built for an international exposition in the last century, the structure was called

monstrous by the local citizenry. The city that it was being built in, they demanded it to be torn down as soon as the exposition was over.

Yet from the very moment of its, you know,

thinking through the architect that made this structure,

he took pride in it and was loyal

and defended his own design to the death, really.

I mean, he was so much into his building.

He defended it from those who wished to destroy

it. But he knew it was destined for greatness. Today, his structure is one of the most famous

architectural wonders of the modern world and stands as the primary landmark of Paris, France, the Eiffel Tower.

I've been in the Eiffel Tower a couple times.

The last time I was there, the elevator broke down, and so we had to hike up to the top.

It was actually taller than you'd think, but the thing is giant.

You know, if you've seen pictures of the Eiffel Tower,

you're thinking, oh, that's big, but wait till you see it in real life. And it is kind of a cool

structure. And his famous tower was built in 1889. But, you know, the thing that catches me

about that is, you know, the locals hated it. Now it's, it almost

defines Paris. If you see the city of Paris, you always see the Eiffel Tower, or the Tau Ruf, as they
